Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Or otherwise, there must be an imposed finish date for the project. (MUST FINISH BY)

This will generate negative float. Check this too..

Lorenzo,

Try to check if you have constraints applied on those activities that generate negative floats...

With regards to baseline updating, I agree with Anoon...

you don’t have to make multiple copies of the baseline, i suggest you study what a Data Date is...

thank you mr. anoon for your reply...however, how do i get the the planned progress of every activity for a certain period of time? what we usually do here is that i make a copy of the baseline schedule then i would run that copy, CTRL+F9, to get the planned progress...is there a better way? Tnx a lot...

i don’t understand why you’re doing it, in principle, you don’t have to update the Baseline, you update only the current schedule.

in updating baseline in order to get the planned progress, you don’t have to change anything, you update it perfectly as planned.
