Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I need some clarification regarding linking an activities. Is it possible to link an activities...say...ACT.2 has a PREDECESSOR ACT.1 of FF & SS relationship and a SUCCESSOR ACT.3 of FF & SS relationship? What’s the purpose then? Is it acceptable?

Thanks a lot.

Weni

Sound like a hammock activity (summary) to me for Activity No1

That way it will show the earliest start date of a group of activity and latest finish date.

Cheers

Another good reason to have both a SS and FF relationship is so the successor won’t finish before the Predecessor finishes.

Hi Weni,

you can have SS and FF relationship to the predecessor as well successor. the main reason to have FF rel will remove open end to the pred/succ. in your case. or else you will not get any impact during update, if there is any delay in the completion of pred. activity. it depends on the situation to use it.

HTH
