Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

100 Rooms in a floor

"paint works" activity starts after clearance from main contractor

each room clearance is expected in different days

The plan is a floorwised one, having one single bar for "paint works " for a floor

how to secify the clearance in the plan?

as a milstone ? as a bar ? what should be the relationships ??

Hi Hemanth

The only way to do this properly is to break down the 100 rooms in each floor into sub groups in such number that the painters can work through them without interruption.

For instance if you are using 3 coat work then each room will have to be visited by a painter at least over 3 days.

So if you have 10 blocks of ten rooms and each room has a three day period then the duration for each floor can be broken down accordingly and the logic between rooms / blocks placed FS as required.

You will then have dates when:

1.  Each floor starts

2.  Each room / block starts

If you do not get permission to start on the programme dates you will have immediate information on progress and can report accordingly.

Best regards
