Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello all PP members;

Is it necessary to have tecnical expertise to work in a plan and control team?

eg: I have a civil project. What is more important for the plan and control team: civil expertise or plan and control expertise?

Regards.

My point of view:

If you don’t have a basic technical understanding,
you will never become a good planner.
Ref. the discussion on software users / planners.

However, you don’t need to be a technical expert to be a good planner. Our space is somewhree between the bean counters and the production (incl. docs etc.)

Hwo we are closest to depends on the projects size and scope and the setup of the organization.
