Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

User Defined Filters ???

Every so often, my User Defined Filters get populated with these filters:

Critical_10   
Has Finish Constraint   
Has Start Constraint   
Level of Effort_1  
Level of Effort_3   
Level of Effort_6   
Milestone   
Negative Float   
Non-critical   
Normal   

After deleting, they will show up every so often. Any ideas how to permanently stop them from showing up in my User Defined list?

No, they are not.

They seem to simply show up whenever they feel like it.

are they part of a layout that you are using  ? if so they will still be there
