Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi All,

I need to make a print out of the Activity Network Diagram from P6, showing the main Critical Path and 2 nearest paths. In the print preview A0 size is too small to view and in A3 it will be of too many pages. Any one tried it .

I tried to copy the diagram to excel, but it doesn't work- only the activities/WBS are being pasted.

Hi Anoon,

Yes, it is for a presentation to show the Critical Paths in the Project, as a flow chart pattern ( not bar chart). I was thinking to prepare it in excel first, but since it is taking too much time, I tried to develop it from the P6 itself (activity network), but it is too small to read.

Is it possible to copy the activity network from P6 and copy it in excel.

Kannan, I'm not sure what you wanted to do, but of course for large projects with thousands of activities, it would be impossible to contain what you want even in A0 size paper. Is it for presentation and analysis? If it is, then for me, it would still not be practical and of course chaotic when you were in a conference room with so many heads looking on the same paper, and maybe your client is smoking a cigar. Why not use a wide video or movie screen instead?
