Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I am looking for a way to create a timephased labor report from my current working schedule. I can run one showing budgeted units planned per month by person. Many activities on my current schedule have been delayed/slipped and I would like to have a report showing the new untis planned per month as a result of the slip. All my activities are Physical % Complete and task dependent. I do not track actuals in Primavera.

1st go to projects directory and make sure that you project is highlighted

now goto the calculations tab and make sure that on the right under resource assignements that when updating Actual unit or costs tats Subtract Actual from at completion is checked

now make sure that recalculate actual units and cost whne duration % complete changes

no make sure that link actual and actual this period units and cost is checked.

this will update your actuals based on the duration % complete but since you are physical % complete you wil hev to run a gloabl change after each update

to do this do to tools Global change then on the right select new

give the title make it Change Duration % complete to equal physical % complete

the parameter should look like this

Where  Physcial % complete is greater than 0

then duration % complete = physical % complete

then on the right select Change

then select Yes

then on the lower right select Comitt Changes

then close it and close the global change

now your actuals have been updated

now you can run your reports

prior to next update select Tools then Store Period Performance

now update your schedule using physcial % complete as you usually do

when done your the global change again.
