(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

Hi Haytham

There are three stages to formwork deployment.

1. Manufacture - This is where the material cost is placed in a one off charge.

2. Fixing - Each piece of formwork will have a number of uses depending on how many similar concrete shapes there are. You should be seperating the different types in your programme.

3. Remove and Refix - Remove to store and then move to new fixing place for new pour - this can only be done after the concrete is cured - somewhere between 2 to 8 days.

In a reinforced wall you have to fix the backforms first then wait for rebar before fixing the front forms.

You should consider the slenderness ratio to determine efficiecy rating of formwork - it works like this.

1 cm of concrete has 4 sqm of formwork threfore 4/1 is the most efficient form - expressed as 4

2. A single column 2.5*.3*.6 will be 4.5/.45 - expressed as 10.

This is a simple method to calculate the gang rate for fixing / striking formwork.

Best regards
