(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?
(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hopefully someone here will be able to help.
I'm working on a project with a baseline that matches the approved client changes for reporting purposes. We are just about to apply new hourly rates to our labour resources (new rates from effective date). Will this automatically update the resources on the baseline? Ideally we want all values in the baseline to remain the same until such time that the uplifted rates are approved via change.
any help much appreciated.

not it wil not update the baseline the setting that were in effect when the resources were added remain ineffect. ALL of the rates in the baseline will rmain the SAME.
If the baseline is assigned what you can do is select update baseline and check
Update Existing activites already in the baseline
then check When updating resource assignments data, include:
and then check Update existing resources and role assignments
and then check Budgeted Units and cost
