(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?
(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.
Hello All,
I am having trouble with my project duration changing everytime I change the max units/time of a rersource. What am I doing wrong. I dont not want a resource to recalculate any of my durations.

go to your project directory
make sure that your project is highlighted and open
look at the defaults setting look at the duration type change it to fixed duration & units. Now when you add new activites the resource will not drive the duraitons.
now you have to fix the duraiton type for the existing activities
go to activities add column
look under General and add Duration Type
change the top one to fixed duration & units then do a fill down for the remainder of the activities
this should fix it.
