Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I'm trying to install Primavera P6 V8.3 standalone on a notebook with windows 8 but I can't make it work. I would like to install it with SQL, if possible. Does anyone have some tutorial or some tips? Thanks!

You cannot use the Standalone option to install anything other than the Oracle Express database.  If you want SQL Express, you will first need to download it from the Microsoft website and then install it before installing P6.  Instead of using the Standalone option, use the Configuration option.  This is not a simple and painless process.   I recommend that you ask a Certified Primavera Provider to do this for you.  Good luck!
