Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi!

The customer requests a layout/view with the gantt chart for the coming month and the resource allocation beneath. (The resources in this case is machinery.) I could almost manage to do this by having the "normal" gantt chart on the upper part of the view and having the activity usage on the information view beneath.

However, in order to show the activity usage for all activities that I want to show, all these activities have to be marked. This can be done, but the activity usage view then shows all activity names and all resources, which is to much information. I only want to show the resources themselves and there hours as a complement to the gantt chart. Is there a way to get this information in the information view?

Regards

Fredrik

Thank you for your answer Tom.

I think you are right since I've spent quite some hours to find a solution. Was hoping to manage without Excel, but there seems no other way to solve this.

Hi Fredrik,

I have no answer for you.  Task Usage and Resource Usage have very few formatting options.  Summarizing the assignments is not among them.  I typically do this kind of work after exporting to Excel.

Good luck, tom
