Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear All,

I wanted to know if in a schedule we can delete all the activiies and retain only the summary activities( maybe with some kind of a constraint ). Actually i have received a contractor’s schedule of 3800 activities , tracking all these will be tough for me so i want to add this to my master schedule with only the summary activities.

Hi Pranab

Just keep the format in summary bar formation - the underlying detail will be essential if and when you get problems with the programme.

3800 tasks is not excessive.

My last programme was 93000 tasks and it was easily manageable.
