Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

We have some engineers who work in remote offices but are LAN connected to

our server. We plan to install MSProject Server here & allow Managers to

connect to it, to publish their task progressions.

These tasks however are dependent on progression of Engineers tasks, each

Manager has x number of Engineers reporting to him.
Buying the Managers Project 2002 licenses is one thing, be we cannot afford

to give ALL the ENGINEERS a copy too.

What other methods are there for getting these tasks to the central

MSProject Server. Can these engineers type the tasks in Outlook?

Or what other method is there?
They need a simple method & even if we could afford to give everyone a license of MSP2002, I dont think theyd have the patience to learn it.

Please advise - thanks.

A lot of people have to work for a living, even if it means being subjected to a program of authoritarian propaganda punctuated by all-too-brief bouts of frantic productivity. Starting your own company kicks bosses to the curb, but the trade-off is that you must be more than productive - you need to be super-productive. What is left over for some workers who want to be productive but don't care for antiquated workplace models is working remotely. Working from home has its benefits - for you and your business. Personal loans may be able to aid you get started.
