Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

like most of us I have collected a pile of photocopied pages from textbooks. I recently came across some pages from a book which were interesting enough for me to consider buying the book itself.
Could one of you pros help me with the names of the title and the author: the pages start at page 403 which is the start of a chapter called "Demonstrating Cause and Effect". On this page 403 some terminology like AAPP and AMP etc. is explained.
Maybe you could add your rating of the book, from the bit that I read it seems worth buying although I fear this is going to cost me an arm and a leg.

Thanks, Marcel

You might like to consider ’About Time: Delay Analysis in Construction’ by by Stephen Lowsley and Christopher Linnett (2006) and only GBP 45. It has received great reviews and whilst not as comprehensive as the Pickavance book it is somewhat easier to read, in my humble opinion!

Coincidentally Stephen and Christopher are presenting at Asta’s ’Manage and Avoid Delay & Disruption on Construction Projects’ seminar on 17 May 2007 in London UK (details from http://www.astadev.com/avoiddelays)

Marcel,

Keith Pickavance’s Book (Third Edition) is available for EUR 360 + pnp.
Whatever your core business, even if you are only nominally involved in Delay & Disruption Construction Claims, I think that it is an investment towards getting a greater understanding of the subject.

Cheers,

Stuart

Marcel,

The title of the book you are looking at is "Delay and Dusruption in Construction Contracts" (Second Edition)by Keith Pickavance.

I know some people would disagree, but to me this is the best book ever published on Delay Analysis.

Mind you, the third edition was published late last year, and I believe it is already for sale. However, the book is pricey - around $500 (this is not a typo!)

In regards to photocopying books, well, err.......
