Manager Project Controls, AMEC Foster Wheeler, Department Head

START Date:
January, 2015
END Date:
June, 2015

Responsible for managing the project controls department, and for project controls on all projects executed by Foster Wheeler Teesside office in Middleborough. Managing a team of cost and planning professionals, my primary role is to provide support to the projects and predictability on cost and scheduling activities. Historically, the Teesside area has served as a base for the majority of the projects executed, with a long legacy of ways of working established locally. I had been asked to bring in new ideas and new practicesthat are being used in other areas of the oil and gas industry, as well as draw on experience to align current projects with industry best practice. The merger of Amec with Foster Wheeler only made an already exciting role much more interesting.
