I manage the schedule, the costs and the risks of about 15 projects: transformer replacement, underground HV cables, substation refurbishment... Primavera P6 is used at its full extent as the tool is used for scheduling, actuals ("Store period performance"), forecasts, risks through the web version, and even Engineering documents progress. It allows a full Earned Value Management system to work properly with appropriate tools for reporting: a very powerful tool that needs a strong buy-in from all stakeholders and therefore a full commitment from the Planning engineer to explain the system to everyone.
