Project Plan

  • Review the overall project plan for design and construction to understand the crucial aspects of the plan including key milestones and performance standards.
  • Review the scope for the priority areas and phasing of the project in order to gain awareness of all aspects in detail such as cost, schedule, risks, areas of concern, revenues, cash flow, and developments.


Project Monitoring and Control

  • Supervising the scheduling, reporting and monitoring of all aspects in detail such as costs, schedule, risks, revenues, cash flow, and development.
  • Assisting senior staff in preparing reports on project oversight and control for project after due monitoring of planned implementation phases.
  • Perform ‘what if’ scenarios and sensitivity analysis to assist the Infrastructure Project Manager and senior management in making informed decisions.
  • Preparing, if necessary, recovery plan to mitigate/accelerate project obstructions.

 

Consultant and Contractor Monitoring

  • Monitor consultant and construction contractor delivery outputs as per the parameters laid down (such as time, costs and quality dimensions) especially for the assigned portion of the project to uphold effective performance.
  • Assist in monitoring consultant and contractor projects with respect to change variations, progress on scope and schedule, payments, draws and progress payments to ensure projects meet budget and schedule targets.
  • Track payment schedules and change variations with respect to ongoing projects and ensure these are duly reported as per the procedure laid down.

 

Schedule Management

  • Review and oversee the development and updates of the Master Schedule prepared by the Project Management Consultant and ensure it incorporates schedule inputs from all other project parties such as consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate a monthly schedule meeting to include the Project Manager, consultants, contractors and other key project involved parties.

 

Reports

  • Prepare departmental statements and reports relating to ongoing projects in a timely and accurate manner and department requirements, policies and standards.
  • Participate in meetings regarding progress of the project, changes in the schedule, delays and accelerations.
  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports with schedule update, activities, resources, cost and cash flow.
  • Assist in preparation of presentations to senior management.
