Principle Planner

Define the processes and procedures for the Planning and Scheduling discipline in this business unit.

Coordinate and administrate the project planners to ensure both departmental and project requirements and objectives are met.

Respond/answer the questions and issues that come from the project planners.

Train and professionally develop the planners assigned to the business unit.

Work with the ECP Project Control Manager that is leading the proposal effort to coordinate the incoming Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) to determine the Planning requirements and then ensure timely and satisfactory completion of identified requirements.

Assure that all baseline (and rebaseline) schedules developed by planners assigned to business unit to ensure compliance with both contractual and departmental requirements.

Assure that all active business unit project schedules comply with departmental requirements and standards on a periodic basis.

Determine and follow-up on remedial actions and training required as a result of periodic reviews of project schedules.

Intervene with project teams as needed to assure compliance with departmental requirements

Interact with the regional planning manager on a regular basis regarding the status and any issues associated with the projects

Work with the Regional Planning Manager to set departmental goals

Work with the Regional Planning Manager on assigning the planning resources to projects

Assist in the interviewing of prospective planners.
