Project Controls Lead - Crossrail Station - Farringon & Barbican (Lead Architectural and Structural Design)

Working as Lead Project Controller for Atkins on the Crossrail extension to Farringon/Barbican Stations.

Responsible for Cost Control, maintaining and reporting on budget as well as cost to date. Forecasting and Change Management need constant management and need to align the scope, budget and programme with each change we receive to design. Due to the vast number of changes this project has become a steep learning curve and brings with it many challenges and late nights.

Project Controls role is very client facing and involves developing open and engaged stakeholder management.

Working for Contractors is notoriously difficult as risk is always wanting to be passed down the line in this nature of contract.

Working in this role is exciting and a fantastic learning opportunity due to the involvement in may areas of the project, this includes, cost, programming, change, commercial acumen, unravelling technical problems, team management and everything in-between that pops up.
