Key Project:

Creation of a common entrance at the north end of the rail bridge spanning the River Thames, increasing the length of the platforms to accommodate 50% longer trains, the refurbishment of the Underground station and the construction of a new station on the South Bank of the Thames for the first time in 120 years. A contract valued at £350M

Roles and Responsibilities:

¨       Communicate a logical sequence of events, ensure that all programmes are compliant with the Project requirements, and are co-created and adopted by the whole construction team; ensuring that the most economical/ advantageous construction solutions are adopted.

¨       Analyze performance/ provide and maintain progress reports, and advise team of likely impact and recommend solutions.

¨       Obtain feedback from monitoring systems (displacement and crack monitoring, strain gauges and gas leak detection) that constantly check on any changes to alert the project management team to any potential problems so that remedial action can be taken.

¨       Prepare WBS to enhance planning in accordance with Governance for Railway Investment Projects (GRIP).

¨       Using Earned Value Analysis/Techniques, CPM, CPI & SPI in providing earned value/KPI reports to be able to advise project teams of any adverse in project accomplishments in relation to cost & schedule performance measurement and also advice on any remedial actions such as resource

allocation and resource levelling.

Forefront Utilities Limited, United Kingdom                                                May 2010- November 2011

A Complete utility solution provider with services including gas repair and replacement, maintenance, gas fitting and reinstatement. A contracting partner with North London Gas Alliance’s (NLGA) gas main replacement programme.

Key Project:

The North London Gas Alliance (NLGA) is a single delivery team comprising National Grid and Skanska McNicholas Plc. Together they are charged with replacing metal gas mains with new plastic pipes (some 3200km of gas mains) across the North London and East Anglian regions - a contract valued at circa £560 million
Roles and Responsibilities:

¨       Generation of the detailed P6 project plan, obtain and verify weekly update/progress date from the design team, prepare weekly project plan updates to the project manager.

¨       Prepare formal monthly progress reports to the project manager as required, work with the Cost Engineer to prepare monthly Earned Value reports to the project manager.

¨       Work with the Integration Team to maintain co-ordination of programmes between design teams.
Provide the planning interface with client Project Controls Manager

¨       Designed dashboards to give the management team a live picture of progress and forecast which is an invaluable tool to monitor both financial and physical progress

¨       Establish the schedule impact of work complete / not complete against programme milestones & make recommendations to help recover programme slip

Key Accomplishment:
Anticipate potential pitfalls and ensure that these do not lead to delay of failures and hence reduce penalties for work not completed at the stated time.

Skanska GrantRail JV (SGRJV)                                                                March 2009 – May 2010
The project was a joint venture between Skanska UK and  GrantRail for the extension of the DLR between Stratford and canning town (Package 6)
Key Project:
Permanent way works, 3rd rail installation, slab track installation, ballasted track renewal and installation, station construction and station upgrades. A contract valued at £67Million

Roles and Responsibilities:

¨       Developed a WBS in accordance with the Governance for Railway Investment Projects (GRIP).
Monitoring performance of project implementation using Earned value Management (EVM) techniques.

¨       Production of formal reports as required and continuous project update.

¨       Assisted in the implementation and management of the Management of Change process in line with local and centralized change management procedures

¨       Implementation and management of the multi location Master Schedule in Primavera P3e

¨       Coordinate across all departments and ensure the current status of the live programme is appropriately visible to the project management team.

¨       Obtain feedback from site teams on planning adequacy and current customer requirements

¨       Key point of interface between the planning function and the project teams and interface between the other project support functions such as Risk & Value; Cost Management etc.

Key Accomplishment:
Delivered extensive schedule integration analysis that helped migrate contractor schedules into company master plan with minimal downtime, zero clash and positive success.

Project Planning Engineer (Contract)
Balfour Beatty and Carillion joint venture (BB/C JV)                     February 2008 –March 2009
The project was a joint venture between Balfour Beatty and Carillion for the East London Line extension between Dalston Junction and West Croydon

 

 

Key Project:Replacement of 7.4km track, installation of signaling equipment on the Whitechapel and New Cross stretch, construction of a 3.6km new track bed from Whitechapel to Dalston Junction and four new stations at Shoreditch High Street, Hoxton, Haggerston and Dalston Junction. A contract valued at £363m

Roles and Responsibilities:

¨       Development of Base Line Schedule using Planning Software PRIMAVERA (P3).

¨       Preparation of Weekly; Monthly & Three Months look-ahead Schedule. Updated actual Progress and all related information & comparison analysis.

¨       Preparation of  Executive Progress Summary Report / Presentations to the Top Management on Project Status for periodical review.

¨       Progress Measurement using Earned Value Management (EVM) and S-curves

¨       Estimation of Manpower Requirement for the Project based on standard productivity norms.

¨       Monitoring of actual resources availability & analysis using Histogram

¨       Created a WBS in accordance with the Governance for Railway Investment Projects (GRIP).

Key Accomplishment:

Managed subcontractors programs into an integrated programme to minimize clashes and project delays.

Jarvis Rail

RugbyRemodelling, part of the West Coast Main Line modernisation programme

Key Project:

Major track restructuring to allow higher speed running through Rugby, addition of  three new platforms along with a new ticket office and entrance. Part of a £7.6Billion programme

Roles and Responsibilities:

¨        Prepared a work breakdown structure to enhance planning following the requirements of the Guide to Railway Investment Project (GRIP) now Governance for Railway Investment Projects.

¨        Monthly reports of Earned Value progress/dates & S-Curves.

¨        Prepared and monitored Infrastructure Programs for Civil OHL Electrical, Mechanical and Signaling on Primavera P3, P3e.

¨        Monitored progress of contractors programs during construction.

¨        Produced the agreed reports in line with both client/internal requirements such as Dashboard, Earned Value, Productivity, Histograms, and Baseline Variance and 3 week look ahead reports.

¨        Performed Time-Risk analysis against the programme at regular intervals within the project lifecycle, in line with the Project Risk register

Key Accomplishment:

This was a large and complex project involving 18 different contractors working on site at the same time. Managed subcontractors programme into the intergrated  programme from early stage of planning to minimize project delays.

Zakum Development Company (ZADCO) Abu Dhabi                                  May 2006 -October 2006

On behalf of ADNOC and for the benefit of the shareholders in the joint venture, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), ExxonMobil, and Japan Oil Development Company Ltd. (JODCO).

 

Key Project:

 Development of the Upper Zakum field and transport oil lines to Zirku Island for further processing, storage and export. Zakum field is the second largest field in the Gulf and the fourth largest field in the World.

Roles and Responsibilities:

¨       Drove, managed and ensured completeness of the development of the activities, logic, resources and progress for the integrated project schedule, which led to the creation of the baseline and its subsequent maintenance.

¨       Delivered and maintained consistent and realistic plans and control structures.

¨       Developed status reporting framework and implemented throughout the planning hierarchy

¨       Provide regular and comprehensive schedule status reports to Project Management.

¨       Developed and maintained core project procedures which provided clear guidance to team members in remote locations.

¨       Used Primavera to develop and maintain a suite of integrated schedule templates

 

 

Key Accomplishment:

Identified and ensured equipment is designed in accordance with the current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.

Agip Oil Company                                                                              March 2005 – May 2006

Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Expansion Project

Key Project:

The NAOC-NLNG gas expansion project - T6 was intended to increase the gas production in the Nigerian fields (Swamp and Land Areas) and to collect part of the gas flow to supply the new production Train 6 (six) in Bonny Plant. A contract valued at USD$5million

Roles and responsibilities:

¨       Prepared Project Control Procedures

¨       Updated and maintained Progress Measurement System

¨       Prepared Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports

¨       Monitored Project cost, /schedule and progress trends against budgets,

¨       Coordinated and tracked NETCO personnel timesheets on weekly basis, Prepared Man-hour and Cost Reports, Prepared Project Financial Status Report (PFSR) and updated Project Document Register.

 

Key Accomplishment:

Delivered planning performance monitoring templates for various routine maintenance projects that helped fast-track quality project planning – some of these templates are still in use by the company

Setraco Construction Nigeria Limited                                                           January 2003- March 2005

Construction of Ughoton/Omadino Bridge

 

Key Project:

Construction of 1 No of 465m long x 11m wide R.C.C. navigational bridge with pre-cast and pre-stressed main T-beams of 31m length each, placed in to position using beam launcher. A contract valued at USD$1million

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

¨       Assistance/ collation of progress reporting and other project controls.

¨       Collating actions from team meetings, minutes, etc.

¨       Support and problem solving reports, presentations, spreadsheets and tables.

¨       Monitoring and reporting on project costs, and invoicing upon project completion.

¨       Documentthe process changes to the Key Performance Indicators.
