Planning Engineer, Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions, Beauly to Denny 400kV new build OHL construction project

Planning Engineer on a £600m project to replace the existing 132kV Beauly – Denny transmission line with an upgraded 400kV line covering a 220km route including the erection of 600 new towers

Create update and maintain the project programme using Primavera P6 and communicate it to all relevant parties

Visit sectional site offices on a weekly basis in Beauly, Dalwhinnie and Crieff to update and report progress on a weekly basis to the Programme Manager and senior management team

Highlight any risks to the sectional and overall project contractual completion dates

Liaise with the site managers and site supervisors weekly to make adjustments to the programme as necessary

Report on key resources including operatives to allow the project to proceed in accordance with the baseline

Run various ‘what if’ scenarios as required

Create weekly dashboard reports  and ‘S’ curves to show project KPI’s, weekly achievements, risks and concerns and planned vs actual
