Key Job Responsibilities as Project Planning Engineer

·         Coordination in overall project activities by taking steward ship of assigned projects right from tendering stage till final close out related to planning & costing matters.

·         Preparation of Project Schedules from Level I to Level IV with Primavera 6 V7 while obtaining concurrence from estimation and execution departments.

·         Development of Manpower & Equipment Histograms.

·         Budget preparation and revisions (as per requirement).

·         Coordination on critical matters with vendors through procurement department.

·         Tracking, monitoring & updating project progress and material status by submitting weekly / monthly progress reports to the client along with the approval of PM.

·         Interfacing with all departments for better progress and control.

·         Manpower and Equipment management as per site requirements.

·         Assistance in negotiating contracts with the sub-contractors.

·         Making of Change Order and claiming of variation from the estimated quantity.

·         Preparation of S-Curves based on loaded resources i.e; Man-hours or Cost (Primavera P6  & MS Excel).

·         Resource loading & Cost loading, leveling & developing resource histograms along with generation of daily / weekly progress reports.

·         Monitoring of critical activities & critical path by applying CPM (Critical Path Method) on schedule.

·         Revisions of schedules by creating recovery / mitigation plans in order to arrest progress slippage or in case of certain change in scope or any change order.

·         Identification of delayed jobs in light of comparison sheets, discussion of scenarios with execution team.

 

 

.         1 Year as Turnaround & Shutdown Planner (BAPCO approved)

           Key Job Responsibilities as Turnaround & Shutdown Planner

 

  • Obtain and review historical records of previously executed Turnaround jobs
  • From work list and scheduled work requirements, develop the Turnaround schedule/step listing
  • Identify items which could be potentially problematic with regard to execution and progress
  • Development of the planned schedule using Primavera (P6) planning system from which progress and completion requirements can be determined.
  • Attending Turnaround Management review meetings.
  • Review work scope change requests prior to their introduction into the proposed schedule, and projects impact upon the Turnaround Plan
  • In conjunction with the Turnaround, Maintenance and Operations Group, determine critical-path items and milestones.
  • Assigning resources to the Primavera schedule.
  • Development of final manning level (Histogram) & Equipment histogram for the execution.
  • Monitor & Update progress of work as per the site condition during Shutdown
  • Inform the execution team regarding the deviation or variation from the baseline.
  • Preparation of Daily Progress report.
  • Preparation of Project Closeout report after the Shutdown
