Job Title : Planning and Project Control Engineer

Career Level : Experienced (Non-Manager)

Project : BLANCA Phase 2&3: MARASSI Project North Coast. Client: Emaar Misr for Development, Project Manager: Turner Construction International, Consultant: ACE Consulting Engineers Moharram, Bakhoum, Contract Amount: Total amount for both phases = 562.4 Million EGP Project Description: Phase 2 comprises the construction and finishing works of 26 residential buildings with a total built-up area 55, 000 SQM including master plan infrastructure, hardscape, and roadworks. Phase 3 comprises the construction and finishing works of 52 Villas and 11 twin houses with a total built-up area 22, 164 SQM along with the master plan infrastructure, hardscape, and roadworks.

Job Duties:

  1. Direct responsibility for the development of the master schedule for the project and in particular the development and monitoring of critical milestone schedules.
  2. Identification of all critical actions required by other parties in order to maintain schedule requirements such as that of the Owner, Consultant, Governing Bodies, Utility Companies, and bringing related issues to the attention of the management. Also, related follow-up.
  3. Be familiar with all the physical aspects of the Project (Drawings, Specifications, and quantities of work in each area /buildings).
  4. Preparation of Cash flow and Updating.
  5. Assist on preparing Claims and extension of time.
  6. Analyze Schedule Progress and Performance and identifies developing problem areas.
  7. Preparation of Internal Target Programs, Providing Monthly Target Programs to Site Engineers.
  8. Review the development of project information and fact sheets and graphical presentation materials in coordination with the construction group.
  9. Oversee the preparation Daily Reports by the Assistant Planning Engineer and follow up of the information required.
  10. Preparation of weekly progress reports for presentation during the progress meetings as well as submission to the Project Director.
  11. Keep the Project Managers, and senior managers advised of critical requirements for the project and potential slippages.
  12. Visit the site at least once a week to be kept up to date of Project Progress.
  13. Ensure project progress photographs are taken regularly as required by the contract and ensure proper archiving of all project related information and progress.
  14. Preparation of detailed Engineering & Procurement schedules.
  15. Prepare presentations on the project as requested by the management.
  16. Be kept informed of all owner-initiated changes and updating of the project schedule for the specific purpose of development of claims and variation orders.
