reports to the Lead Area Scheduler and is a part of the Activity Planning Function. The primary role of the Area Scheduler is to ensure that 6 week and 12 week Area Schedule is fully populated with all Functional Plans and deliverable within Area constraints. The role will be required to ensure the Area 6W and 12W Schedule is fully populated with all Constrained Activity Plan (CAP) activities and deliverable within Area and site constraints.
Ensure that sufficient buffers exist between activities and allowances for emergent work are built into Area 6W and 12W schedule.
Ensure all activities meet the required 6 and 12 week gate readiness criteria.
Accountable for resource levelling of all activities in the 2-12 week timeframe.
Support the 12 week Gatekeeper (AESTL) in assessing 12 week waivers.
Identify and drive resolution of cross functional conflicts and manage the inclusion of approved emergent work into the Area 6 and 12 week Schedule.
Communicate the agreed 6 and 12 week schedule to all functions.
Ensure Site Schedulers are progressing activities.
Identify functional activities that risk delivery of Area 6 week and 12 week schedule
Act as Functional Planner for the Area Engineering Support team (AEST), building detailed plans in Primavera to support delivery of the work owned by the AEST.
Identify Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities for Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey (AGT) Region processes that interface with Area scheduling processes and propose actions.
Review Area Planning KPI-1 performance with Site Scheduler and propose improvement actions
Drive Area Planning KPI-2 performance, identify improvements and propose solutions.
First point of contact for Site Scheduler to address issues relating to planning, scheduling and tools.
Ensure that all Area scheduling processes are consistent with AGT Region Activity Planning Reference Manual.
Identify CI opportunities for AGT Region processes that interface with Area scheduling processes and propose actions.
Identify improvement opportunities in Functional Planning/Area Scheduling performance and propose solutions.
Successful candidate will be expected to:
• Agree when to execute Constrained Activity Plan (CAP) activities to deliver an Area 6/12 week schedule
• Recommend whether to allow Constrained Activity Plan (CAP) activities to enter the 6/12 week scheduling window
• Agree which activity to execute when activity set falls outside Area scheduling constraints
• Recommend whether to approve 12 week waivers

 

• Deliver fully integrated 12 week and 6 week Area Schedule aligned to AGT Region priorities
• Work with relevant parties to ensure integrated schedule best delivers value and risk mitigation for the Area
• Identify issues with, and suggest improvements to, the functional planning process.
• Ensure all Major changes to the Area schedule are controlled through Managed Change
Process.
• Communicate lessons learned to the Functional planners to improve delivery of Plans
• Identify issues with, and suggest improvements to the Activity Planning toolset.
