Senior Project Controls Specialist, Washington Group International, SR 125 Design Build Expressway

Mr. Doughty was initially assigned to assist the SR 125 project with scheduling and subsequently assumed the Public Outreach / Noise Abatement / Soundwall role on the Toll road portion of this contract. The expressway is a unique design-build project consisting of two contracts that were executed under a franchise agreement between Caltrans and California Transportation Ventures. The 2.5 mile Gap/Connector, which was administered by Caltrans using federal and state funding, and completes the existing SR 54 freeway and connects to the new SR 125 Toll Road. The 9.5 mile Toll Road was administered by California Transportation Ventures (CTV), a private consortium, and utilized private and federal funding. The project connects the existing SR 54 at the north end to the existing SR 905 at the south end, for an overall length of 12 miles.
