£5.5 bn valued Thameslink Programme to deliver more capacity and more journey options to passengers travelling to London from the North and South.

Role focused on £175 m valued K01 Electrification & Plant portfolio including delivery of new ATF system on Midland Main line, OLE, conductor rail, hook switch installation, DC cabling replacement and substation upgrade works.

 
  • Prepared project plans capable of delivering the project objectives and entered these plans into a P6 system in accordance with Governance to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP).
  • Monitored progress and updated the cost loaded project plan on monthly cycles and developed recovery programmes and contingency plans when required.
  • Monitored and audited contractor plans and inputted the summary of the contractor’s schedule into a master project programme.
  • Developed volumetric resources report from the contractors programme to analyse the quantities of equipment and cable installation.
  • Created a reporting system to highlight the key project milestones across the Thameslink programme using P6 system.
 
  • Succeeded in delivery of key project milestones on time and within budget by tracking the schedule activities using critical path method and earned value analysis.
  • Reviewed risk register and incorporated contingency activities into the project programme.
 
  • Prepared hour by hour programmes for the QSRA to minimize the risk of possession overrun and train delays
 
  • Analysed contractors statements of progress for payment purposes from their cost loaded programme.
