Estimator/Project Cost Control for USA Chemical facilities, East Coast & Texas.

Estimating Manager,AdvanSix (Corporate Employee) starting July 2017.  Capital Engineering department direct hired contractor employees. see below estimating postion for description.

Project Controls Team Lead & Estimator (embedded contractor) Jan 2016-July 2017.  - Coordinate team efforts, ranging from six to eight, in order to meet corporate and customer expectations in estimating, scheduling and project cost control analysis. Perform employee performance reviews and approve timesheets, address any concerns and locate/provide training opportunities.

Estimator 2012-2016 -Prepare Capital estimates for industrial projects, FEL-0 through FEL-3 accuracy, for multiple locations in Texas and on East Coast, utilizing Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE) and RIB-MC2(ICE) software. Manage and distribute estimating schedule for Richmond Region work, while also contributing to the Corporate Honeywell schedule for all sites. Participate in coordination meetings from scoping kick-offs through constructability reviews in order to provide comprehensive, complete estimates for funding approvals.

Provide specific Projects with cost management support to assist PM Team with monthly forecasting, requisitioning and change order approval. 

Forecasting-assist Project Manager maintain forecasting of current costs vs. prior forecasted amount by downloading data from SAP into Excel and loading into a forecasting spreadsheet. Provided the monthly variance report and assisted with monthly spend and To-Go forecast. 

Requisitions-review requisitions for material and services prior to release for conformance to Standards, verify account coding and compare to detailed estimate cost. Work with requisitioner to obtain any missing data or clarify scopes of work for services. 

Change Orders/Extra Work Orders-Work with the contractors to obtain documentation for any additional funds request. Determine whether the work is included in approved Project scope and included in the contractor scope. Perform price check in some cases to determine if cost is reasonable. Assist PM team in obtaining approvals required to proceed to requisition step, get into SAP, released and added to POs prior to monthly cut off in order to be able to receive the work completed.
