A knowledgeable, enthusiastic Civil/Structural Engineer, with 30 years of Project Execution experience in the production, processing and refining of crude oil and natural gas.

The career development includes international project execution experience in Canada and Venezuela. Canadian experience includes the Horizon Oil Sands Project and the Kearl Oil Sands Project.  Venezuelan experience includes participation in international Projects located in Venezuela, like the Hamaca Crude Upgrader Project and Cerro Negro Gas Facilities Modification Project.  Relevant positions occupied went from Senior Planner Scheduler, Lead Planner Scheduler, Project Coordinator and Senior Project Controls Specialist.

Domestic past experience in the Venezuelan oil industry includes participation mainly in Gas Compression Plants infrastructure and Gas Pipelines Projects. Positions occupied went from Field Project Engineer, Senior Project Controls Engineer to Project Manager of Infrastructure on Gas Compression and Power Generation Plants.  

Experience gained during the professional career, domestic and internationally, had provided strengths on Project Execution Strategies development, Tendering, Negotiating and Administration of Design, Construction and EPC contracts.  Also, skills development on Design and Implementation of Execution Tracking Systems in cost and schedule, including cost-time risk analysis for early detection and mitigation and the design of contracting guidelines, strategies and procedures to maximize cost/schedule performance of contractors. 

Additionally, I developed abilities to communicate and perform in a multicultural environment, at various levels of professional expertise, to define key objectives and create the right environment for their achievement, interpersonal relationships, and junior professional’s supervision, coaching and mentoring, being bilingual (English – Spanish) and very conversant with computer related software.
