Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi,

Am currently working as a junior planning engineer in UAE, I plan to immigrate canada. I just went through the job bank of canada, I could not find the job posts for planning engineer.

I need to know is there any other name for planning engineer?

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your reply, let me check with these names in canada job bank. I was little dissappointed while searching on canada job bank as it shows nil results for planning engineer. I thought there is no scope for us in canada right now.

Hi Mohamed,

I have seen planning roles listed under Planning Engineer, Planner, P6 Planner (or other software), Project Planner, Scheduler, and Programme Planner before and there are probably others. There are key differences between some of these but as the positions are often listed by managers or recruiters, these subtleties are perhaps somewhat overlooked. If I saw any of these I'd read the full job description.

Good luck

Rob
