Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and am in need of advice specially if we have Australians here.

I have been in Australia in for quite some time now. Before that I have around 1 year of experience working as a junior scheduler in India. I am looking to break into the Australian job market as a Planning Engineer. But have not receieved any response yet. Recruitors shun me at the mere mention of experience outside Australia. I am at my wits end on what to do next. I really fallen in love with this country and dont want to move out.

Can I have some advice on how I can gain some real time Australian experience even if I dont get paid. What should be my next step.

PS: I am a permanent resident.

Hi Shabby

Welcome to Planning Planet.

Send a private message to Craig Adams - he will put you right.

Then join the Aussie Group on PP.

And don't be a drongo by working for nothing.
