Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi everyone,

I am having trouble adding activities into a programme I am creating. I have created my WBS but items in the WBS wont show up if it doesnt have an activity in it. This is proving to be very time consuming as im having to add activities to existing WBS elements then changing them over to the empty ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards,

David

David,

Perhaps you do not have administrative privileges to see those WBSs.  Have you checked your profile?

It's possible. My version of P6 cetainly doesn't behave in this way.

Propably best to get in touch with Oracle Tech support and see what they say.

Hi Gary,

It seems to be all projects. I dont have access to another computer to check if its my version of P6 thats the issue. Do you think it could be a bug in P6?

That is odd.

Other than having 'hide if empty'  option checked, I can't think of any circumstances where an empty WBS element wouldn't be displayed but one containing activities would.

-Is it just the one project you are having this problem with, or all projects? How about if you open the project using another machine?

Hi Gary,

I tried this before posting on PP. It hasnt revealed the empty WBS elements though.

Best regards,

David
