Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

You can always use the File import project mpp function from Primavera. This does work however is fraught with anomalies such as calendar mismatches, task type interpretation etc. A better option is to import MSP into Pertmaster and then export it to Primavera. This method has a lot less hang-ups, sometimes it is even accurate. Either way you must check the schedule after.
Good Luck

So what I’m currently having to do is to save a Primavera programme as an excel sheet. Then amend it with the activites from the Project file. I then have to do the logice work manually. This is the fastest route I have found so far but only really helps with importing the activites and IDs, not any costs or resources.

I’m still searching for the elusive answer af making the two systems compatible.

Hope this helps a little.

hire a scheduler who knows both primavera and MSP (just joking)
