Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I wonder if you could help...

I have 2 computers, both with P6 on them (they are not networked). I have done a lot of work on one of them, setting up EPS, various projects, project and activity codes, etc... My question is...how can I transfer (copy / export, etc) the WHOLE EPS and codes and everything from one computer onto the other?

Thanks in advance

in P3 it was btrieve as a database. Many functions were done from P3. P6 (P3e) can work with different databases. All those functions can only be proceeded from the database.
Together with the SQL-Server the Management Studio was installed. From there you’ll have to do back-up, restore, etc. For your IT this shuld be a problem.

If there are problems, send me a message.

Thank you, Dieter,

By back-up / restore (in P6) do you mean export / import?
(I know P3 used to have a back-up / restore function...)

Thanks again

Create a back-up of your database --> restore within the other computer --> don’t forget to synchronize privuser and pubuser.

Good luck
