Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello everyone,

How would I include retainage (retention cost) for each activity of a project, in P6? Would I use Cost Accounts or Expenses?

Please advise.

Thanks!

There is no problem in P6 in having an activity "Finished" i.e. having a finish date, AND still having a remaining cost.

So I would use resources.

In addition, resources can be placed beyond the finish date of the activity, so it is possible to have, say, 10% of the resource cost happening 60 days after the end of the activity.

Have Fun!!!

Hi.
I did not check in P6 yet but I’m sure you can do it if you have Primavera Contract Manager, an seperate module which can be linked to P6.
