Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

An XER file is an entire project(s) from P5, not just a flat file of particular data that can be imported into Excel. If you want to import/export using Excel, select the XLS option rather thant he XER option when exporting.

Tamed,

XER file is the back-up file or archive file of P3e or P5. It is done by exporting your open project in P3e/ P5, check out or use email function of your P3e/ P5 so you can distribute, back-up and import or check in back to any P3e/ P5 database. Once import it back to P3e/ P5 database you can export it to excel file.
