Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to display the percent complete of a WBS level on the activity spreadsheet? It shows a summary of OD/RD, dates and float etc., but not %’s. Anyone know the fix, or why it doesn’t if there isn’t one?

I’m refering to Physical % Complete before anyone asks!!

Cheers

Hi Emma,

I’m on my PC now and checked. You may want to use Performance % Complete. :)

That shows up on the WBS. And if you check the definition with Hint Help, I guess it would suit your purposes.

Best,

Jorge

OK, have now had a look at all the different types of % complete. This confirms that Activity and Physical percentages do not show up at all on the WBS line, but all the rest do. However, the only ones to show anything greater than 0% were Duration % and Duration % of original.

Ugh! Whose Idea was it to have all these different types!!!!!!!

Thanks - I forgot to appreciate what physical percentage was covering.... may try and see if any of the other percentages make a difference...

Legs are overrated anyway ;o)

Steve, how are you?!!! We’re soon to move over to GS House, so I’ll wander on up and say Hi some time!

Thanks for the reply - that makes sense! I’ll try the other myriad of % completes to see if it makes a difference.

:o)

You have entered a minefield!! Luckily with no legs left I can maybe help you. When you record a percent complete against an activity, are you measuring:

a) how much of the work has been done (i.e. resources)
b) how much of the duration has been achieved
c) how much of the monety has been spent
d) how much value has been earned

Hi Emma,

I think you can do it. I’m not in fron of my Primavera Enterprise (PE) right now but I think you could display NOT physical PCT but ACTIVITY PCT.

That should do it.

Good luck.

Emma,

The reason that you will not get a summary of physical % complete, is because you are not comparing like terms.

How would you generate a summary % if your physical quantities refer to manhours, Km of cable and m3 of concrete?

BTW it’s nice to be back in York !

Sorry

Can’t advise on that.

I’m sure help will be available pretty soon.

Hello Emma

I had it displayed (P3.1) without any trouble.
Simply selecting the Percent complete field.

Can you be more specific ?
