Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I am using Primavera P5 and need to view a .PRX file. I have been told this is a P3 file format. When I try to import the .PRX file into P5 it is not recognised. What is a .PRX file??

Bill,

PRX files are P3 files compressed into a self exploding zip file. Copy it to a new folder, change the extension to .exe and double click to expand it to a series of .p3 files. This does the same job as a P3 restore without needing P3 and you can now import that data into P5.

Bill,

A .PRX file is a compressed .P3 files.

That can be opened (restored) by Primavera P3 versions (like 3.0, 3.1).

Good day...
