Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear all,

pls anybody adivse me why we can’t use negative lag in the schedule, The client or consultant advising no to use. Why? what is the reason.

I beleive that if we didn’t use negative lag, the schedule is not properly on critical path, hence, several activities with total float more than zero or one.

If you change the relations from FS with -ve lag to SS with +ve lag be sure to include a FF relationship between the same two items if you do not you may be finishing the successor before the predecessor completes.

Hi Salauddin,

Using negative lags in the relationship has no effect on the schedule.

you can change the relations from FS with -ve lag to SS with +ve lag.

Hope that this will help.
