Website Upgrade Incoming - we're working on a new look (and speed!) standby while we deliver the project

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Best Advice, restore your computer prior to the P3 installation from system restore option in windows control panel(search for the restore option), then try to re-install P3 will solve the problem.

Share experience, install P3 3.1 onto an winXP is no problem. No need to install any ODBC other version since default P3 3.1 installation have taken the process.

However, when install other software, some may lead to the problem. Other software may bundle with latest ODBC which is not compatible with P3 3.1. We may aware the installation since it is part of software installation.

That’s why we do compatible test before any installation change.

just done all that

i uninstalled the new odbc driver but the same problem, but as i can not risk playing with windows registry
you know i am going to the old good trick

format c: then install all the software

morality of the story don’t install odbce driver 2.04 unless you have a degree in IT

very very bad

If it is not the access right issue, then installed Btrieve/ODBC version may not compatible with P3.

Uninstall the installed Btrieve/ODBC driver and just install P3 again. However, there is a risk on this one.

Uninstall Btrieve/ODBC may lead to other software not function; A clean uninstallation may lead to clean registry also, which may lead the whole windows not function well.
