Website Upgrade Incoming - we're working on a new look (and speed!) standby while we deliver the project

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Here are my questions:
1- Can we use the items in (BOQ) as resources or not?
2- Are we using the total items in (BOQ) or we used the items that appear in time schedule only?
3- If we can, what about price in P3 is it according to unit rat or budget?
4- What about cost account in this case?
5- In this case what about cash flow?
6- Are there any manual or case study contain solved example on this?
7- Can we chat together today or as soon as possible (eng_ameen81@hotmail or eng_ameen81@yahoo.com)?
Thanks for your efforts, sorry for interrupted you

Hello Amin,

I would suggest go for your idea, experiment a lot, read books and involve in hands on planning using excel, P3, etc. Whatever knowledge you learn, keep on multiplying and improving you understanding of the secrets of planning. Along the way you will meet a master, planning master to guide you to perfection.

It is only then that you will find true meaning to the answers to your questions.

IMHO.

Cheers,

Charlie

Hi
1.Yes for preliminary, parallel with that you have to identify the design change request or missing / over looked item which not include.
2.Use total item.
3.Either one could be use, depends on contract requirement.
4.Cost account / cash flow will base on unit rate, which followed by controlling milestone claim or monthly claim.
5.Dont have one, whatever my answer is from experience and actual practice at my company.
6.Not suitable time but u can PM me at anytime.

for further question, if u could tell me which area u are focusing either cost control or Planning Scheduling.

Regards
