Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

The main issue in project management is how to control the job and not mainly on how to master the use of primavera which i found most planner did. Why not shift your tools in Ms. Project which is users friendly and practicable to used..

Any comments..

Now you are touching a very important point but probably one that doesn’t belong in this forum category.

Primavera software has a steep learning curve which can be very daunting for novice schedulers. It is however worth the effort because you will not only learn how to operate real software but also how to set up a schedule. Especially the P3 Planning and Control Guide is a very good start.

The alternative is to buy a book like: Dynamic Scheduling with Microsoft Office Project 2003 and learn how to survive with MSP. It will take you just as long (best case) and you’ll need to find out where all the bugs are. This can be a very frustrating experience because often you don’t know if you need to blame MSP or your lack of experience.

Hope this helps,

Niek.

I’m afraid I have to concur with Roberto here.

Two things:

- don’t compare a roller-skate with a car, it is so useless

- don’t conclude that a roller-skate is better when you don’t understand how to drive a car, it does not make you look very smart.

Cheers,

Hi again:) Honestly, i feel like you have something inside against this software:) just kiddin’

Just a friendly advice my friend, if u think MSP can help u better, so be it, dont compare it to something you dont really understand.

I believe that you can compare these two apps effectively if you understand both most of their functions.

If you dont understand something, ask questions, this group can help you. Dont critize, dont judge, unless you understand:)

Good day!!!
