Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

My question is simple.

I have a schedule of some 8000 activities. Obviously, on hard copy, schedule runs into over 200 pages.

How do I know the Page # of a particular activity so that I can print just that page ?

Please try this, a simple solution :
1) Install Acrobat writer
2) Print the document as a acrobat file.
3) Search using "Find" the particular activity
4) Print it.
Sure it will work.

This problem still persists in P3 i.e to find/allocate Page is not possible in case of more than 1000 activities and we have to individually sort out the page either by Filters or by scrolling.

So in this situation you may only use Print preview or organize activities on the basis of ID.

Hello Mary,

It is done in the traditional way. Look each page and find if the activity is there in that particular page. To simplify the process, you take note of the way you organize activities and the filter use. As you scroll in the print preview, you will get a feel that the activity you are looking is somehow near. Continue scrolling and create a mental note that the activity you are looking is near to the hierarchy or relationship. Stop when you find the activitiy and take note of the page. Click file - print, thick the pages, then encode the page number you want to print.

Mary,

I am not aware of a simple way,to find a activity within a schedule when you have the total schedule open and be relative to the page.

suggest open print preview and tic on multiple pages view, then just scrol down untl you get in the area and double click to open a page,(thats if you have the total file open)until such time as you locate your activity.

everything cannot be easy, ha ha

cheers bill
