Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear All,

How do you make specific activities in p6 start only on Monday irrespective of their predecessor finishing day. I don't want to assign constraints.

Figure 1 shows how with calendar lags can be done. This does not require additional milestone.

Figure 2 shows how with activity lags can be done. This requires an additional intermediate milestone.

The special calendar was created with a very short duration very early on Monday, 0 duration on the remaining days of the week.

Create zero duration activities with calendars that have only one work hour in a week on Monday night.

Add these activities as preceding to your activities that must start on Mondays.

All inbound dependencies to your activities starts must become preceding to created zero duration activities.

This advice will not work if your activities have predecessors to their finish points.
