I have a question regarding the Boiler Mechanical Completion (MC) and Commissioning /Start-UP.
Here is the situation. Steam Genrator/Boiler has associated units such as Utility Water, Potable water and tanks, Fire Water, Deminerlizeed Water and condensate, Boiler Feed Watrer (BFW) and Deaerator, Limestone and ash handling unit, Compressed Air, etc. depending on design that all have to be installed to complete a steam generator plant. All these units must be Mechanically Complete before commissioning (putting fire or igniting the boiler). My question - should the MC of these units be a predecssor to MC of the Boiler itself, OR they can be Mechanicalley complete which icludes being precommissioned (loop checked, etc.), a little beffore or after the Boiler MC iitself, as long as they have been Mechanically completed prior to igniting the Boiler. OR, these units, so called pre-requisite units must mechanicaly complete AND further be commissioned prior to igniting the boiler? So far I have made the tie (FF=0) such that all these unit's MC drive the completion of Boiler MC.
Need someone who actually has done a boiler scheduling or a commissiong engineer to advise. Looking for sequence of events. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
