Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hello all PP members;

Do anyone have experience in the usage of Auto Cad 2006 as a tool to control projects (or small packages of a project)?

Regards.

Dear All

The use of AutoCAD (Drawing) integrate with project plan in planning is a way to illustrate sequency of works, identify progress, cause and effect. However, to have a proper planning and control and analysis, this integration can only act as and supporting tool. Still the primary tool is a details schedule. Things like comparsion to the baseline, identify time implication on CPM ...

I dont discount the use of Time Location diagram. However, it normally is very high level and have to associate with a physical element. For those invisible element, we still need to rely on the traditional schedule and planning tool

You can use it for drawing Time-Chainage Digarams and link the autocad drawing layout profile to display Start and Finish Dates from P3 using VBA. I heard about it.
