1.       While importing from XL, Actual Dates are updating and Physical % Complete is not updating

2.       Even If Physical % complete is updated manually, Remaining Duration is not changing

3.       Actual Expense cost is also imported, but not updated in Schedule

Any body please help in this regards. I doubt i am missing some important step in the process of importing. Any body can help me mentioning step by step procedure for successful import

I have activities to get the % completion from quantities. The quantities measuring units are not similar, which is usually the case. I need to know the correct way to get the project % completion in excel and then later transform into P6. Appreciate if someone guide me in steps.   thanks NG

first make sure that you have the proper rights to import information

1. you can only import actual dates, and constraint dates and these dated need to have the correcr format was well as the correct TIMES. Physcial % complete must be in the correct format. Why not export an activity with these items and use it as a template for importing the new information.

2. That is correct when using physical % complete it DOES NOT update remaing duration because remaing duration is assoicated with duration % complete. In order to use physical % complete to update remaining duration run a global change where duration % complete equals physical % complete

3. make sure that the format is correct
