Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

The (DCMA) Defense Contract Management Agency has a guide line that they have called a DCMA 14 Point Schedule Assessment. This 14 point check  is used to determing the overall quality and performance of the cpm schedule.

listed below is the link to the DCMA documentation

There is also a free add on tool for excel called xertool kit. This uses and existing xer file to help gather the stastics to perform the elements of the 14 point assessment. Here is the link

Neda,

A few years ago I was faced with a similar situation and I did not have any software to perform schedule metrics tests. So I developed a series of filters to check the metrics, and wrote a paper on how to construct these Quality Control filters. I wrote this paper for Primavera, and a similar paper for Microsoft Project.

If you will send your email address to treichner@yahoo.com, I will be happy to send both papers by return email.

Hi Neda

This is the first time I have offered assistance so you wil have to excuse any errors in process.

The first question to answer is what planning software are you using and what version. Bases on the answer I could suggest possible solutions.
