Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I have been handed a MSP 2000 file and when I use the filter to show ’critical’ it highlights all the critical items names in blue. The trouble is it leaves the non-critical items in view (normal text colour).

Help much appreciated

Perhaps someone has changed the Filter to a Highlight Filter before you got it.
You can see this if you go to Project, Filtered For, More Filters, Edit. See the checkbox.
If you want to recover the original (you should) you can use Tools, Organiser to get it back from the Global template.
