Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Guys and Girlies,

I know we have been discussing this issue for quite a long time but still I believe have not come to a single solution.

I need to transfer a MsProject 2000 file into Primavera P3 version 3.1. What is the best way to do that ?

Many thanks in advance

Alex,

When I try to convert small projects with 10-15 activities it works OK, but as I try bigger ones it shows "Run-time error ’5’, Invalid procedure call or argument.

Thanks

Alex,

Thanks for the file, it works OK with small projects but does not work with big ones (about 1000 activities)

Thanks Paul

I have downloaded the article and figured out the way I can do transfer.

The question I have got now is: in your article you refer to "MPP to MPX conversion utility" availability at the Primavera.com but I could not find it there, do you have this software available in your possession if yes, can you please me at farid.salmanov@rolls-royce.com

Many thanks in advance

There are several methods and they all have advantages and disadvantages. There is a technical article on my web site that may assist.
